Lackluster

Final leg of finals ha-ha. Seriously hate the timetable of exams this semester but since it's the last one tomorrow I shall quit the complaining and get on with describing photos of my life so far.

Recently got my hair touched up because I don't want my roots to be showing in vacation photos. The funny (and good) thing is that the photo above shows my hair color before the touch-up. It doesn't look like I've roots at all which's weird because I've gotten my hair cut quite often these past couple months so it's not like my hair has been stagnant in terms of growth. Secretly hoping that my natural hair color has decided to change to a reddish brown because I've been so nice to it. A girl can dream.

WILD BEAST

Been quite in the working out zone recently because I want my body to look the best it can at my age. Not a willing victim of a saggy butt and bulging tummy. Darren has been helping me out so much in the fitness department. I mean, constantly being around someone else's six pack abs does make me feel bad about my body only because I know I could have that if I wanted to. And well I did have it, until laziness visited and decided to stay.

Problem areas: -circles entire body-

Does this count for something?

If you feel in need of a spark of motivation in terms of fitness, do contact Darren. Most people have this impression that personal training sessions cost a bomb and that it's not worth it when you can just workout at your own pace FOC. I used to think this way until I realized that never would I have the discipline or knowledge to identify what type of workouts my body needs. There's so much more to it than just running like a hamster on the treadmill, trust me on this.

In case you're interested, D.Fitness is having an ongoing personal trainer promotion and you can view the promo rates here. If you're a student like me, you enjoy a student discount! Don't be shy or hesitate any further and just go for it. There's no time better than now and personally, I prefer a perkier ass on myself. And it doesn't hurt hanging around with a bunch of hot guys at the gym.

Mel and I participated in a flea and it was so bad this time round. Usually we clear most of our stuff but after the organizer shifted the location of the flea, it was so bad. Will definitely have to think twice if we're planning to join anymore fleas after this. The best part was definitely the chatting and spacing out together since we rarely see each other these days.

HA

Bravely partied at Mink in the midst of exams because I wouldn't have any other time to do that. The next day, I had such a bad baaaaad tummy ache and almost died waiting for Darren to bring me food because he was stuck in a meeting. Basically rolled around in bed the entire day with the occasional visit from Sundae. He bought me piping hot Ajisen so all the hate disapparated.

Finally took time out to bring the grizzly bear to the groomer's and of course she caused me such embarrassment. Had diarrhea twice during grooming and led all the other dogs in a barking frenzy. She's so wild. Does that say anything about me as the pet owner/sister?

I WANT ABS

The semester is officially over for me, and I'm just waiting for exams to start. Was expecting more free time but nope I feel as busy as ever even though I haven't started revision yet. Kinda excited to start thoroughly reading my Forensic Psych textbook though.

Anyway! Been trying to be more diligent about going to the gym, de-cluttering the house, and basically just getting my life back in order now that school's out. Yes yes I'm a control freak but nothing makes me feel better than having control over my own life and doing what's best for me.

Series of photos in the gym below. Sessions with Darren have been going pretty well so far. Though when I'm tired, it's more of me ordering him to stop ordering me around #badass. But seriously, don't do that to your personal trainer. It just tires yourself out even more! I've never been one to take directions but when it comes to training sessions, it's best to just shut up and do whatever you're told. You're there to learn and tone your own flabby body up so there's really no point complaining and complaining about how achy your thighs feel. They're meant to be achy!

No pain, nothing gained.

Obviously not doing weights #ootd

So hardcore!

The two photos right above are so funny. He's obviously not a fan of me taking such photos.

I've a love/hate relationship with the TRX system. It works the entire body out but IT IS SO TOUGH. Every time I'm doing any TRX exercise, I feel like slapping someone. Guess that's why it was built for marines.

This brings me to the title of this post. I couldn't think of a better one so I thought why not just type my latest goal there. Basically, I used to have 4 pecs and a flat tummy but recently I've noticed a paunch that seems to be increasing in size at a drastic rate. All the eating I do definitely doesn't help so it's time to actually do something about it instead of constantly worrying about the fats around that area spilling out of the waistband of my jeans. That is my current goal and I'm hoping to achieve it by this month.

I'd like to think that having this after a workout gives me protein or whatever but yes I understand it's just powder and syrup. Actually, I don't really understand what's the big deal about this brand of soybean pudding that makes people travel all the way there to buy 20 containers each? The reasons why I eat it is because it's cold, sweet, and I don't have to chew it.

The other stall tastes better to me but it wasn't opened... This 老伴豆花 has a powdery aftertaste!

Accompanying my sister

Have been in the process of de-cluttering my room because I feel I've too much stuff. It's such a bad habit to feel you need an excess of everything because in the end, you really don't need it. Take this bucket of papers for example. This is just one out of a few buckets I have so it's crazy how many dead trees I'm keeping in my room. I doubt I'll take that many notes in my life (if at all) so... Still wondering what to do with this. Does anyone want some paper?

Have a good week ahead, everyone! And maybe it's time to start going to the gym to get the body you really want ;)

Between lives

How I feel about school right now

Procrastination is the reason why I'm awake at 2am trying to complete an essay. There's really nothing new about that. For some reason it takes so much effort to concentrate and write just a single paragraph! Well if I didn't have to cite every bloody thing I wrote I'd probably be done a whole lot faster. Having about 10 windows open, with 9 tabs on each window is happening right now and I'm so annoyed but nothing can be done till I finish this. Ugh! I really don't want to write it.

Personal training session with Darren + OOTD

Finally had a real PT session with Darren and I've to say, I'm proud of myself for accomplishing it. Working out at the gym seems to be better because I'm more focused compared to working out at the park. It's distracting when the personal trainers at the gym walk around bare-bodied O_O because it makes me feel a little self-conscious about my severe lack of physique (lol) but at the same time, it spurs me on because I'd do anything to get a toned and flexible body back and it's motivating to see that at the gym itself. Apparently, the trainers are eye candies for all at Tanjong Pagar ☀

Do hire Darren Stephen Lim to be your personal trainer! He's able to design a personalized workout routine according to an individual's needs, with real results if you follow through. I can testify to that as I begin on this journey to wellness!

The food we had after working out hahaha! It's definitely not advisable if you're trying to lose weight and are on a specific diet because of the high salt and oil content... But because I'm not, I can indulge. It's tough for me to explain about working out and dieting because I'm not a professional, but I've been reading some fitness articles and watching YouTube videos of fitness professionals/models so I do have some background information regarding such things. I'm using all these information to my advantage of course.

For some reason, I'm extremely motivated to get my body and health back in shape as I age. No amount of clothing, bags, or shoes can make me feel as good as a toned, healthy body! #mature

Oh and my dad Whatsapped me these photos while I was eating oily food at a dirty hawker centre. Well okay then #thismeanswar!

Bought these babies the same day I went to the gym. My two pairs of cheer shoes gave way awhile back and I didn't have anymore sports shoes so tadah! Those cheer shoes have served me for 5 to 7 years respectively and I love them with all my heart :')

This is one of the latest Nike models and they're so comfortableee. It comes in a range of colors and I couldn't decide between 3 designs but according to the store assistant, this can be worn for training outdoors as well as indoors. Because of this, I'm now a member of the Nike store so hopefully I'll get to use the membership discount often! I ♥ Nike.

On a random note, I haven't been shopping compulsively like I used to because I'm trying to switch up my style a little and this has given me the habit of thinking reeeally carefully before I purchase something. It's such a waste of money to buy something expensive, wear it only once (or not at all), and it never sees the light of day again. By thinking carefully before purchasing something, I saved quite a bit of money which will go towards my wardrobe overhaul once I actually have the time to shop.

Can't wait to start shopping again. Have a good week ahead, lovelies!
