Bye Sunday

Kinokuniya was having their 20% members' sale this weekend so I finally got to get out of the house far far away from my books! Hmm that's ironic.

My hair was slightly wavy because I tried curling my hair and failed miserably. I've forgotten how to curl my own hair when I used to do it on game days in high school! Many many years ago ha. Not to mention it rained just as we were about to leave home so my hair went limp, sigh.

Judging from puffy eyes and eyebags, we're both seriously sleep-deprived, overworked, and super stressed ARRRGH. Okay back to textbooks :'(

What a weekend

This weekend was crrrrazy. Helped out Mel in giving out samples for her hair products distribution company and it was the FHM Cover Model 2012 event they were sponsoring. Who knew we would be able to experience it first hand? Was definitely an eye-opener for me and it would've been great if Mel actually took up the offer of being part of the contest HAHA!

Photos courtesy of the many photographers there.

The event ended earlier on Saturday so Darren picked me up and decided it's time to bring dear Sunsun for a well-deserved walk and me for a much needed workout. She was quite the embarrassment but still so cute. If I was lagging behind both of them, she would sit and refuse to move till I caught up with them, hence the photo below.

Helped out again on Sunday and ended the evening with spicy food at Crystal Jade. It seems like their menu has changed since the last time I've been there but the food's still pretty good. Don't think anything can go wrong with spicy food...

Here's to the last week of this semester! Funny how I always make it seem such a pain when I'm not even present for half the lectures. Can't help it when the lectures/tutorials don't really help me much and I'm better off staying home.

Toodles!

I♥AEO

Today was such a bummer. Mel and I initially made plans for a fancy brunch but just as I was about to leave home, it poured. And I don't mean just a light spring shower, it was a freak thunderstorm. The kind that leaves Sundae shivering in a corner. (Maybe I should just buy her a thundervest meant for timid dogs because it helps calm them.)

On a brighter note, my package arrived!

One of Darren's purchases arrived too and he had 2 boxes plus he has another package which hasn't been delivered yet so look who's the shopaholic now. His are all fitness stuff which's irrelevant to me because they're so boring yet expensive?!

Anyway, the point of this is to declare my undying love for American Eagle Outfitters (AEO). I don't get this much happiness shopping anywhere else. There's a story behind this particular purchase this month which I shall summarize.

1. When they emailed me a notification to say that my order has been shipped out, it didn't come with a tracking number and I was unable to check the status of my delivery process.

2. Decided to email them 3 days after the notification to ask about the tracking number. Received a reply within 12hrs (I♥AEO) saying they've a research team looking into it.

3. A couple hours later, they apologized and provided me with my tracking number (I♥AEO). I replied: Thank you so much for your help and prompt replies. This is why I shop at AE.com.

4. They freaking replied my email saying they're thrilled to hear that I enjoy shopping at AE.com and they've a commitment to high quality apparels and service, and that I'll continue to consider AEO as a destination store for my apparel needs. (I♥AEO)

I fell harder in love. I know it could just be a template answer but the effort taken to reply my enquiries and compliments promptly?! I'm super duper impressed. Have experienced my fair share of mass retail online stores *forcough21* who seem not to care about customer service at all, so having constantly good shopping experiences at AE.com feels really really good.

Also experiencing some sizing issues with some of the items I bought and they're guiding me through the whole return/exchange process so patiently. AEO has proven itself to be my life partner and I'm so glad to have been a regular for the past 7 years. It's money well and wisely spent. Stuff that I got 5 years ago, I'm still wearing them now!

Moral of the story: SHOP AMERICANEAGLE.COM FOR QUALITY APPARELS AND SERVICE.
They're currently having a promotional flat rate of 25USD for international shipping so hurry!

Don't really know how to explain the relationship between Sundae and Darren.

Ended the tiring day of unpacking the boxes of stuff with junk food. I didn't have much and I'm so proud of myself!

The breadstix shown above is to die for. It's full of sodium and cheese but whatever it was delicious. The little tub beside it is supposed to be salsa but no it wasn't! I thought it was going to be the chunky tomato kind and even bought an extra tub but it turned out to be something like BBQ sauce. Delivery took exactly 30mins so all's good in the 'hood.

Have a great last day of the week everyone!

Body Conscious

I've decided to start getting my body back to the way it was when I was still a cheerleader. Action speaks louder than words so I'll be documenting what my personal trainer has planned for me.

For too long I've been procrastinating and days turned into months which turned into years so my body is in a pretty sorry state now compared to how it was when I was still exercising regularly. It frustrates me when I don't look as good in certain kinds of fitted clothes like I used to as there's a constant worry about parts of my body that I'm embarrassed to show or accentuate.

As a start, I decided to see what appropriate sports attire are left in my closet and as an encouragement, a little shopping was done on my all-time favorite: American Eagle! They had an Easter Sunday coupon code of 25% off my purchase so that was definitely a good deal.

Fitness

Didn't purchase any of the above but if I get nearer to my goal, I'll reward myself with cuter gym outfits. Just got some basics to try for size first and hopefully they'll fit well. Cannot wait for them to arrive and since it's American Eagle, I'm highly confident they'll be here by Friday!

Will be starting my fitness program this week and I'm so psyched up for it. Can't wait to be more confident about my body again!
