On a random night, I wanted bak kut teh for dinner and after doing some research online, we decided to go for Sin Heng Bak Kut Teh. I've to say it was worth the trip!
Always the gentleman |
Small sized portions |
Sesame oil chicken |
Both soups were really tasty. One was bak kut teh, the other was pig innards (kidney, liver) soup. Pork is not my preferred kind of meat but the prime ribs in the soup was fine. Had to worry about the bone flying to someone else's table because I was using chopsticks to separate the meat from the bone. The pains of getting meat off a rib in public.
Vegetables were fresh. The sesame oil chicken was too oily and there wasn't much meat because it was just chicken wings cut into small pieces. If I ever go back, I don't think I'd order this again and maybe try the cereal chicken instead.
Writing about this makes me want to go back for the soup! I'll probably order a medium size of each because I love soups and could drink a whole cauldron of it.
